Math Tutoring for Students Who Need Additional Support
With over 15 years of experience working in the school system as a Special Education and Health Paraprofessional, I understand that every student learns differently.
I provide online math tutoring for students with IEPs, 504 Plans, or other learning needs who may benefit from additional academic support. My experience working directly with students in school settings allows me to provide patient, structured, step-by-step instruction tailored to each student’s individual needs.
I help students with math skills, homework, extra practice, and building confidence while supporting the accommodations and educational services already provided by their school.
My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions, work at their own pace, and make meaningful progress in mathematics.
In addition to math tutoring, I am expanding my academic support services to include writing instruction for students in grades 5–12.
Whether your child needs help with grammar, sentence structure, paragraph development, essay writing, or organizing ideas, I provide individualized support to help students become more confident and capable writers.
From strengthening foundational writing skills to developing high school essays, my goal is to help every student express their ideas clearly and effectively.

Academic Support Specialist
Academic Improvement Program
Grades 5–9 initially · Online · Individualized support
Two 45-minute sessions per week:
- Session 1: Math or writing instruction, skill gaps, and targeted practice.
- Session 2: Academic planning, assignment organization, test preparation, and progress review.
- Ongoing: Grade tracking, short-term goals, and parent progress updates.
The objective is to help students improve their academic performance and gradually become more independent learners.
This program combines your instructional experience with the organizational and follow-up support you already planned to offer. You would not need to launch executive functioning coaching as a separate service to deliver it.

Real Progress Takes Time
Math improvement is a process, not an overnight change. During the first month, students are learning how to work with a tutor, building trust, adjusting to more intensive support, and identifying the skills they need to strengthen. The second month is when we begin reinforcing those skills through consistent practice and repetition.
By the third month, students are becoming more comfortable with the routine, taking greater responsibility for their work, and developing stronger study habits.
Meaningful academic improvement often takes one or two school marking periods to become clearly visible.
Every student progresses at a different pace, but consistent tutoring, practice, and effort can give students the foundation they need to become more confident, independent, and serious about their schoolwork.
