AREAS OF SUPPORT

Catch Up

Has your student fallen behind?

We identify learning gaps and focus on the skills that need attention so the student can work toward grade-level expectations.

Keep Up

Is your student doing reasonably well but needs additional support?

Weekly tutoring can reinforce classroom instruction, provide additional practice, and help students stay on track.

Move Ahead

Is your student ready for more?

Once foundational skills are strong, tutoring can be used to introduce more advanced concepts, strengthen problem-solving skills, and prepare students for what’s coming next.

SCHOOL CALENDAR & ACADEMIC PLANNING

Use School Breaks Strategically

School holidays and breaks don’t have to mean that learning stops.

Long weekends and school breaks can provide valuable opportunities for students to review difficult concepts, complete unfinished work, strengthen foundational skills, and prepare for upcoming material.

Good Times for Academic Catch-Up

Thanksgiving Break
A good opportunity to review material from the first part of the school year and address areas where the student may be struggling.

Winter Break
Use the holiday break to reinforce skills, complete outstanding work, and prepare for the second half of the school year.

Mid-Winter Break
A valuable time for additional practice, review, and focused support without the pressure of daily classroom assignments.

Spring Break
An opportunity to review skills before the final stretch of the school year and prepare for upcoming tests and exams.

Summer Break
A great time to strengthen foundational skills, prevent learning loss, and prepare for the next grade level.

PROGRESS MONITORING

Focused on Progress — Not Dependence

The goal of tutoring isn’t to keep a student dependent on a tutor forever.

The goal is to help students build the skills, confidence, and understanding they need to succeed independently.

A student may begin with intensive support because they have fallen behind. As their skills improve, the amount of tutoring may be adjusted.

The goal is:

Assess → Learn → Practice → Master → Keep Up → Move Ahead → Become Independent

As students progress, they may need less tutoring—or eventually be ready to manage their math work independently.

ONLINE LEARNING

Convenient One-on-One Tutoring

All tutoring sessions are conducted online through Zoom.

Students receive:

One-on-One Instruction
Personalized attention without the distractions of a classroom.

Google Classroom
A centralized place for assignments, practice, and learning resources.

Downloadable Materials
Additional resources students can use between sessions.

Parent Communication
Ongoing communication about the student’s learning and progress.
