How the Academic Organizer Program Works

Online Academic Organization & Executive Function Coaching for Grades 5–12

Is your student struggling to keep up with assignments, remember deadlines, organize schoolwork, or manage multiple classes?

The Academic Organizer Program provides remote, one-on-one executive function coaching designed to help students in grades 5–12 organize their schoolwork, manage their workload, develop better habits, and stay on track throughout the school year.

This is not subject-specific tutoring. Instead, I work with the student to help them understand what needs to be done, organize their responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and follow through.

Available Monday–Saturday 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Step 1: Schedule Your Free Consultation

The process begins with a free parent consultation.

Use the Calendly appointment link to choose a convenient date and time for your consultation.

During the call, we will discuss:

  • What your student is struggling with
  • Classes and subjects they are currently taking
  • Current grades and academic concerns
  • Missing or late assignments
  • Organization and time-management challenges
  • Concerns you may have heard from teachers or school counselors
  • What you would like your student to accomplish

Step 2: Meet the Student & Identify the Pain Points

After enrollment, the parent, student, and Academic Organizer meet virtually through Zoom. This gives me an opportunity to get to know the student and understand what is making school difficult for them.

Together, we will review available:

  • Class schedules
  • Syllabi
  • Assignments
  • Classroom notes
  • Notebooks and folders
  • Current grades
  • Missing or incomplete work
  • Upcoming tests, projects, and deadlines
  • Teacher instructions and expectations

I will talk directly with the student to identify their biggest academic organization pain points and determine where they need the most support.

Step 3: Build the Student's Organization System

Once we understand what the student needs, we create a practical system for managing their schoolwork. Students receive organizational tools such as:

  • Daily and weekly calendars
  • To-do lists
  • Task lists
  • Assignment trackers
  • Checklists
  • Goal-setting worksheets
  • Progress-tracking materials
  • Other downloadable organizational resources

[Download Student Organization Resources →]

We will use these tools to organize the student’s workload and make large or overwhelming assignments easier to manage.

Step 4: Break Schoolwork Into Manageable Steps

Together, we establish:

Daily Goals
What needs to be completed today?

Weekly Goals
What needs to be completed this week?

Monthly Goals
What needs to be accomplished during the current grading period?

Large assignments and long-term projects can be broken into incremental stages, giving the student a clear understanding of what to do next.

The goal is to replace “I don’t know where to start” with a clear plan.

Step 5: Weekly Coaching & Accountability

Students choose the coaching schedule that works best for them:

Option 1 — Weekly Coaching

One 60-minute session per week

A longer weekly session to review schoolwork, organization, progress, and upcoming responsibilities.

Option 2 — Twice-Weekly Coaching

Two 30-minute sessions per week

Shorter, more frequent check-ins to help students stay on track throughout the week.

During each session, we may review:

  • Completed and unfinished assignments
  • Current grades
  • Upcoming deadlines
  • Missing work
  • Class notes and schoolwork
  • Weekly goals
  • Organizational challenges
  • What is working and what needs to change

The student receives guidance, encouragement, and accountability while learning how to manage their responsibilities more independently.

Step 6: Monitor Progress & Make Adjustments

Academic organization is an ongoing process.

Throughout the month, I help the student identify what is working, what is not working, and what needs to be addressed.

We look at the student’s schoolwork, grades, assignments, and overall workload to help identify areas that may require additional attention.

Goals and organizational strategies can be adjusted as the student’s classes, assignments, and academic demands change.

Parents may receive weekly or monthly progress reports, depending on the student’s needs and the level of communication appropriate for the program.

Step 7: Continue, Adjust, or Cancel Anytime

The Academic Organizer Program is offered as a monthly package.

Parents receive an email invoice for payment and can cancel at any time. There is no long-term obligation.

The program is designed to provide consistent support while helping students gradually develop the organizational skills they need to manage their school responsibilities.

What Your Student Can Expect

The objective is to help your student:

  • Understand what is expected in each class
  • Keep track of assignments and deadlines
  • Organize school materials
  • Prioritize their workload
  • Break large assignments into smaller steps
  • Develop daily and weekly routines
  • Set and work toward academic goals
  • Monitor their own progress
  • Become more responsible for their schoolwork
  • Build confidence in managing their academic responsibilities

The Goal: An Organized, Confident, and Successful Student

Your student does not have to figure it all out alone.

The Academic Organizer Program provides the structure, organization, accountability, and one-on-one support students need to better manage their school workload—one assignment, one goal, and one week at a time

Parent Communication

Parents should know how their investment is helping their child.I provide progress feedback by email so parents can stay informed about:

  • What the student is working on
  • Organizational goals
  • Progress toward weekly goals
  • Areas where the student is struggling
  • Improvements in organization and follow-through
  • Areas that may need additional attention

The goal is to help parents support their child without having to become the child’s personal homework manager.
